An Optimistic Outlook

CVS/pharmacy expands portfolio with a variety of new brands.

What does buying a new lipstick have to do with living longer? A lot, according to Dr. Vivian Diller, a psychologist, media expert and marketing consultant who appeared at CVS/pharmacy’s beauty preview of more than 100 new products on July 23 at Pop 14 in New York City.

“Beauty boosts the short term and long term benefits of subjective wellbeing,” noted Diller, who added that personal care purchases are little indulgences one can do to add a spring to their step.

Alex Perez-Tenessa, vice president of merchandising, beauty and personal care, and Cia Tucci, vice president, merchandising, store brands (pictured in lead photo) were also present to discuss the retailer’s illustrious expansion, sure to provide many shoppers with a subjective wellbeing boost! Modern, easy-to-browse displays showcasing new innovations, bestsellers and the hottest trends will make it easier to find product categories and brands, and updated in-aisle signage and displays will inspire and educate as well.
